About Nikki Kelly

I'm a New Zealand painter living between Takapuna and Wanaka.

I work intuitively — no fixed plan — letting each piece develop on the canvas.

Summers by the sea bring brighter, faster marks; winters and spring in the south slow things down and change the palette. People show up in my work too — sometimes as figures, sometimes just as a presence or a mood.

The practice is ever-evolving: colour, movement, and place guiding what appears, until it feels right.
